Updates from around the blog…

Hi everyone! Thought I’d offer a few updates about what’s going on around the blog at the moment!

The e-zine is on its way. I hope to have it out for Saturday, but it might be Sunday as I have to drive into Vancouver (2+ hour round trip) for medical stuff that morning. (Don’t worry – it’s good medical stuff, just getting my yearly tune up with epidurals into my spine for preventing potential pain things with my herniated discs and such.)

As I have so much new equipment and so many new ingredients, I’m taking the the week of October 2nd to around the 9th off to finish organizing the workshop so I can get all the things I have in place, then I need to formulate like silly! I do best if I have an entire day to formulate with no other commitments, so the plan is to schedule at least five days of uninterrupted time so I can create more lovely formulas.

I’ll be posting all the fun things I’m doing in the workshop as they happen here on the blog, and I’ll try to get some posts ready, but there may not be a series of specific things that I share during that time.

As well, I need time to review all the work I have in my drafts folder at the moment – exactly 338 posts at the moment, including three series on rheology modifiers, silicones, and esters – but there’s always something missing from them that brings them to a screeching halt. I need a bit of time to figure out what’s necessary to make them complete so I can post them, which I’ll do during that week.

Raymond will still be available during that time for technical support help via e-mail.

I’ve realized how much I miss your comments, questions, and email, and I’m sorry I haven’t been more active around here. I read each and every one of them, even if I don’t say anything. Not only do I think it’s super important to do this to keep our community thriving, but I find it helps me feel more connected to the blog and you, my lovely readers, when I take the time to engage with your feedback. I’m making it a priority to respond to your comments on a daily basis.

Thank you all so much for helping us work on creating a good work-life balance, which is incredibly hard when I love doing all of this so much, and for respecting things like our business hours so we aren’t working around the clock. All of this will always be a work in progress, and it helps so much when we have your understanding and support. By taking this week off, I can get some organizing done so I can share even more with you!

A huge thanks to Jenna for this great picture! We had such a great time during the classes at Windy Point Soap Making Supplies!
