Hi everyone! Hope you’re doing well on this 9th day of December! Sasja is eagerly awaiting the arrival of Santa Paws in a few short weeks, as are we! I still have to find time to get into the workshop to make some gifts! Eek!
I’m still working on the November e-book. I had a horrible scare that it had been deleted or lost and couldn’t find it anywhere – and I’m obsessed with backing up everything, saving things on my computer, a portable hard drive, and the cloud, so this is bizarre for me! – but we found a previously saved copy that’s missing about a third of what I’d previously written and contains no photos or links, so there’s still those to add over the next few days. I’m so sorry about this! At least I had my outline, so I know what needs to go where. Phew!
I’m not sure I can get an e-book done this month.* I’m so sorry, but even with three e-books outlined and in various stages of writing along with so many half-finished things, I’m already feeling really overwhelmed after losing all that progress for November.
I’ve been trying all year to find the time where I can just write posts for this site and have them done in advance as well as getting ahead with having an almost written e-book by the start of the month, and this is stressing me out every day when I open my laptop. I desperately need time to figure that all out so there’s a more regular listing schedule and e-books that arrive on time.
*If I can’t get one out, there’ll be a coupon for e-books in the shop, so you can pick up something you’ve had your eye on for a while. We’ll let you know shortly what that will be.
A quick note on emailing me: I love hearing from you so much, but if you have a question you want answering or want to talk formulating or want to modify my formulas or are just curious why something happened, please post in the monthly Q&A post! I just don’t have time to answer more than a line or two in an e-mail, while the Q&A comments are a priority for me.
I might even create a custom formula for you, like I did in the nine part series we ended earlier this month about making conditioners. There’s no guarantee, but it’s happened a lot!
As a note, I don’t make soap of any kind – not CP, not HP, not liquid. I cannot help you create or modify formulas or make suggestions for other ingredients. I know the chemistry of soap and have written about it – Q&A: Which preservative works best with alkaline liquid soap? Let’s talk about the chemistry of soap, pH, and preservatives – but this is all I know.
I’ve had a number of people write to me for help with soap over the last few weeks, so I thought this needed saying.
