Three years ago today, I started the subscription component of the blog through Patreon. Doing this allowed me to stay home with my mom as she suffered from lung cancer, and it allowed me to stay home after she died to grieve our loss. It was the greatest gift we could have received, and I thank all of you for supporting our family during that terrible time.
Before setting up the Patreon account, I thought the blog was done as I struggled to write a post every few days. I couldn’t think of anything new to make, just variations on the same products I’d always made using the same ingredients I’d always used. I realize now it was because I couldn’t afford new ingredients or equipment to make new and different things, so your subscriptions have made it possible for me to buy all kinds of things for the blog that I can share with you! I wake up every day and fall asleep every night thinking about all the wonderful things I can create for this blog and you, my wonderful readers.
