I’ve been so busy getting ready for this trip, I didn’t tell you all about it! I’m teaching six classes at Windy Point Soap in Calgary over the next two weeks! (Click here to see the complete schedule and registration page!)
And we’re having a get together on Thursday, November 8 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm with treats and beverages, so pop on down and let’s talk about making awesome things and have a laugh!
As a note, all the classes at Windy Point Soap are hands on, which means you’re enjoying the creative process with other participants and learning all about ingredients so you can make modifications to continue creating customized, bespoke products at home! You will leave the classes well moisturized!
Men’s products – Friday, November 2, 1:00 to 4:00
Join us as we kick off Movember with an awesome afternoon of creating products just for men! This fun class will have you making and taking home a beard and facial wash, a beard conditioner which doubles as a shaving bar, a fragrance spray, a deodorant, and a super emollient beard oil along with a hand out with all the formulas so you can continue creating at home.

Saturday spa day – Saturday, November 3, 10:00 to 3:00
Everyone needs some pampering! Come to our Spa Day with Susan Barclay Nichols!
Bring your face full of yesterday’s make up as we start out creating a make-up remover which you will then use to rid yourself of unwanted make-up. The next step is a foaming exfoliating scrub to gently remove dead skin. You’ll also make a gelled toner which turns into a sheet mask. There of course will be a fabulous moisturizer as well as some other goodies.
All ingredients and supplies are included. We will also supply towels, face cloths etc., coffee/tea in the morning, and lunch! Please let us know if you have any food allergies.
ECO products – Sunday, November 4 from 9:30 to 12:00
We’ll be making plant based, green, biodegradable, and ECOcert products, including lotions!
Cold process lotions – Tuesday, November 6 from 6:00 to 8:00
Join us to learn how to use Aristoflex AVC and RM-2051 to create quick, elegant lotions in less time than it’ll take you to assemble your ingredients.
Liquid hair care – Friday, November 9 from 1:00 to 3:30
We’ll be making liquid shampoo, conditioner, and leave in conditioner in this class!
Lotion making – Saturday, November 10 from 9:30 to 12:00
Learn how to make lotions from scratch using Polawax, Simulsol 165, and other emulsifiers!
We will try to take some pictures and such, but the chaos of having 12 people in a small spaces making products precludes us from taking more than a few minutes of video that we can share. As the classes are based on the participants’ interests, the formulas we make can change every time!
